USAID-ERDA aims to increase economic opportunities by promoting private sector investments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) by strengthening and modernizing the agriculture sector and promoting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).Achievements:•    Provided certified wheat seeds and fertilizers as part of the \"Wheat Crop Support Package during Rabi 2022-2023,\" to above twelve thousand flood 2022 affected farmers in district D I Khan in collaboration with the department of Agriculture Extension.•    Provided seasonal vegetable, sunflower seeds, and fertilizers to above three thousand flood 2022 affected farmers in district D I Khan in collaboration with the department of Agriculture Extension.•    Distributed five thousand Animal Feed Package to the flood 2022 affected farmers of districts Dera Ismail khan and Tank in collaboration with the department of livestock and dairy development. Rapid Fund (Responding to Pakistan’s Internally Displaced) is a funding mechanism that was established in September 2009 under a cooperative agreement between Concern Worldwide and USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. Designed to respond quickly to the urgent needs of people affected by disasters in Pakistan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review the quality of existing social and economic data in the proposed project area.
2. Support the grantees in conducting base line survey as per Concern Rapid Fund guidelines.
3. Participate in the Partner’s Tender process as observer and provide support as per Concern Rapid Fund procurement guidelines.
4. Keep track of budget allocated to partners and ensure that all expenditure is in line with the project pro-posal and Concern financial guidelines.
5. Regularly appraise Rapid fund participant’s projects under my area of operation and provide feedback and support to enable them to do their jobs better and meet all Concern Rapid fund requirements.
6. Support and promote an understanding of M&E methodologies (process& progress) that is appropriate to program /project practice in the field, with a view to increasing the management and analytic skills of individual program staff.
7. Assist implementing I/NGOs in preparing their progress reports as per agreed timelines and procedures. Together, analyse these reports in terms of problems and actions needed.
8. Work alongside and/or in collaboration with I /NGOs, local institutions and Government authorities during the assessment tasks.
9. The CIDA Funded project supported the Government of Pakistan\\\'s design of a national iodine deficiency control program and working with small-scale salt producers in 53 districts of Pakistan to encourage salt iodization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To ensure adequate salt iodization by visiting local salt processors, monitor the process and ensure adequate iodization.
2. During my stay with MI, I have ensured the provision of KIO3 to the salt-processors on subsidized rates through the local health department (EDO Health) and ensure adequate salt iodization.
3. Through proper coordination and conducting workshops and seminar with the local health department and district government I sensitized the district government and the local salt processors to ensure proper salt iodization.
4. To ensure the progress and to fill the gaps, I have reported on monthly bases about the progress at field level to the provincial and federal ministry of Health.
