I am interested in the use of Data and Analytics to address the socio-economic problems prevalent in Pakistan. Envisaging the Sustainable Development Goals set out by United Nations as the core target, evidence-based and data-driven decision making is the only way forward to achieve those goals.
The First Step is a student run initiative established to empower the Transgender community. Initially we ran a 3-month pilot project focusing on the health-related issues faced by the Transgenders. We have now shifted toward Vocational Training and successfully completed the first round in collaboration with a local shoes and handbag retailer. Further we are aiming to develop a social enterprise whereby the transgender community can become financially independent.
Coached students from Grade 6 for interactive activities at a local public school. Coached Grade 7 students for their weekly visits to a Special Children' School and Grade 8 students for their field project at a food bank. These activities were a part of their CAS (Creativity, Action and Service) module.
Worked on a USAID project “Market Assessment of Small and Medium-sized enterprises in Pakistan” for a Freelance Consultant, Ommara Riaz. Accompanied her to client meetings and assisted her in the Final Report.

Learnt about entrepreneurial culture in Pakistan- its challenges and prospects. Over viewed an entire incubation cycle and worked closely with the startups. Organized two mega events: LCE Open Day and Startup Weekend Ed-Innovation.
As a Coach for the Alumni Development Program of The Citizens Foundation (a non-profit educational institute for underprivileged), we arranged a 3 week crash course on basic Mathematics, English and Self Development for the Grade 9-10 students. This prepared the students for the university/college admissions aptitude tests. Along with this, motivational sessions were organized to encourage the girls to break free from societal conventions and follow their dreams.
