Disease Outbreak Surveillance is an Android and Web-based application for reporting and tracking of diseases in
real-time. The Android application will be used by doctors to report diseases, whereas web act as a dashboard
(analytics tool to help).
The main objective of developing this application is to provide a platform to doctors to report infectious diseases and
researchers and other organizations access to a service that wasn’t implemented before. To provide more
accurate and authenticated information compared to existing systems, as information is coming directly from the
actual source. Users will be able to see which diseases are occurring or trending and get alerts on diseases. The
application will be updated frequently to provide up to date on health-related threats.
Disease and Symptoms reported are mapped to doctor's location. Data will be aggregated and presented in real-time
on a map.
