The overall objective of the Punjab Safe Motherhood initiative Project (PSMIP) is to reduce maternal mortality rate through improved management system. For the proper functioning of the project being a Monitoring Officer & Field Coordinator I have performed following duties.
o Assisted the Project Director in planning, implementation, Monitoring & Evaluation related activities of the both projects Punjab Safe Motherhood Initiative Project (PSMIP) & Punjab Thalasemia Prevention Program (PTPP)
o Participated in relevant meetings with Government, partner organizations and other stack holders and generated timely minutes of all meetings organized.
o Did day to day coordination, meetings and briefings, verbal and written communications with Zila Nazim, DCO, MNAs, MPAs, administration of Rawalpindi Medical College & Holy Family Hospital, EDO Health, DHO, DDHOs, provincial Health department, DPO UNFPA, District Manager PRSP, District manager Plan, administration of Jahandad Society for Community Development and other NGOs, Medical Superintendents of DHQ and both THQs (Talagang and Choa Saidan Shah), SMOs of RHCs as well as Labor rooms and OTs staff.
o Prepared monthly duty roosters for Gyne/ Obs doctors at three different locations DHQ Chakwal, THQ Talagang and THQ Choa Saidan Shah.
o Reviewed and monitored the activities of PSMIP through regular monitoring visits of DHQ Chakwal, THQ Talagang, THQ Choa Saidan Shah, All 9 Rural Health Centers (RHCs) and All 66 Basic Health Units (HBUs).
o Performed complete enquiry of each and every neonatal and maternal death in the district. Also performed the data collection and prepared detailed progress reports of each and every facility by using statistics.
