Disease Surveillance Officer
PPM Advisor-TB
Mercy Corps is one of the principal recipients of global Fund grant for TB. It is implementing TB control activities in 72 districts across Pakistan through 6 sub recipients and in two provinces implementing the activities itself. PPM Advisors’ responsibilities include development and revision of programmatic guidelines, advice on technical issues and steering program in right direction to achieve targets, data analysis, strategic planning and representing MC at different forums
Provincial PPM/TB-HIV/HDL Coordinator
Responsibilities included Coordination between province wise 1400 plus TB care facilities and all stakeholders, M&E, Data compilation and analysis, capacity building of government and partners HR, review and feedback on field monitoring reports, planning and implementation of new innovative approaches, implementation of childhood TB initiative and representing PTP at provincial and national level.

Polio Eradication Officer
As PEO I was responsible for all activities concerning Polio eradication in districts of Bahawalnagar and Pakpattan. It included routine surveillance, outbreak investigations, managing National Polio Campaigns, routine EPI activities, advising government agencies on current issues, regular record keeping & reporting and capacity building of MoH staff.

Regional Medical Coordinator
MALC is an NGO working for elimination of Leprosy, Tuberculosis and blindness all over Pakistan, from last 57 years.
I lead a team of about 200 persons working at 92 centers scattered in 3 provinces of northern region of country. My duties consisted of Designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of new projects along with smooth running of programs already in progress, Coordination and reporting for all centers and keeping active liaison with government as well as with other NGOs.
MALC has diverse activities ranging from capacity building of government health care staff, various community empowerment/development programs, vocational trainings, educational help, emergency relief and rehabilitation and I have been an active part of all of them.

Being the only medical facility available in the area, it gets a large number of walk-in patients daily. This heavy turnover provides an opportunity to come across diverse clinical experiences. Here I attended mainly pediatric patients in OPD and indoor, but gave general cover in emergency.
