Financial analysis for 5 years (statements) for MISIL

The project was based on the operations that were carried out in the finance department of the Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited. The historical background was studied and operations analyzed to understand how exactly the company grew into a group of companies under the same name from 1950 to 1998 that’s today known as ‘Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited’. The company that excelled enough to have a number of products, stainless steel T bars, girders, iron bars, etc. today ensures procedures like smelting and Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) themselves as well. The company’s operations that were observed, include the ones from procurement and sales’ department. The way in which the material is ordered by the Mughal Steels at their different warehouses to further start the production. Then the sales department and its operations were studied in order to help one understand the ways in which the B-Tech (Business Enhancement Technology) Software is used and different invoices are issued to further maintain the journal ledger. The whole mechanism of issue and transfer receipts is also mentioned. The financial analysis for both the income statement and balance sheet was also done in order to exhibit the how liquid the assets are, and how much leverage there is. The vertical and horizontal analysis showed the extent to which the percentage change in different assets, liabilities, equity and expenses was observed.
