KPMG Lahore, Pakistan, (member firms of KPMG International), coupled with a record of my
performance at both professional and academic studies has enabled me to present myself as a potential

During my association with KPMG, from more than 4 years, I have had an opportunity of being involved in

I started my career with KPMG Lahore as an audit trainee in May 2013. I remained

Review, preparation and compilation of financial statements in accordance
with the reporting framework comprising of International Financial Reporting
Standards (IFRSs) and applicable local laws.
Develop and implement a flexible annual audit plan using appropriate riskbased
methodology, including any risks or control concerns identified at

Preparing formal audit reports to assist the partners in expressing an opinion
on financial statements.
Carry out audit planning, evaluation of control activities and audit of the
periodic financial statements and management reports in accordance with the
International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and KPMG audit methodology
(KAM).
Obtaining an understanding of client’s business objectives and strategies in the
context of industry and environment in which the client operates in order to
identify strategic business risks.

I was seconded to Riyadh office in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, KSA for a period of four
months. The selection was made after a tough job related interview in which I
appeared and qualified. During my stay in KSA, I was assigned on several audit
assignments which includes financial institutions and engineering sectors in which I
had no experience at that time but I manage to handle that clients in efficient and
effective way and closed my work within timelines. Overall this secondment was a
great step forward in my professional career in terms of time management, client
management, pressure handling and development of communication skills.
