Job Description: Project Safety & Security Officer - Sindh
OVERALL ROLE:
The Security Officer will be responsible to maintain security and safety of project staff and premises, implementation to security protocols, and liaison with security agencies.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: The Security Officer will be responsible and accountable for tasks including but not limited.
To:
• Review and monitoring of all emergency communication/ logistical and retrieval systems.
• Health and Safety Risk assessments with defined parameters for emergency pull out.
• Ensure reporting all security related incidents impacting on AiD field SBEP project staff and assets, facilities.
• Maintain coordination with the security establishments.
• Conduct inspections to verify the implementation of security protocols at designated field office.
• Recording and reporting any deviation from the security protocols to COP.
• Provide advice on selection and procurement of appropriate security equipment.
• Provide timely and accurate security advice and information to AiD field project staff.
• Management of security personnel.
• Lead and conduct short training programs for security guards regarding movements and safe methods of working based on agreed security protocols.
• Provide orientation and training to security guards on approved security protocols.
• Performance appraisal of security guards.
• Track monitoring activities been undertaken in the Field with respect to movements of staff as per approved security plan.
• Attend / participate in all security related meetings.
