Project Manager
Electrical Engineer
During construction phase, I lead owner’s team of engineers and supervisors assigned on construction of Oil Storage terminals. The project was successfully commissioned in December 2018. Major responsibilities included:
• Coordination with engineering and construction contractors to ensure that job was being executed as per designer’s specifications
• Participate in development, review and monitoring of construction plans. In case of slippage, work out recovery plans and manage their implementation
• Risk analysis at various stages of construction and development of management plans
• Review and implementation of documents generated by construction contractor which include Job Safety Plans, Rigging Studies, Quality Control Plans and other method statements for various activities
• Verification of contractor invoices and management of claims
• Functional development and handling of administrative matters related to team members
Deputy Manager
• Played a key role as a project lead and install Smart Grid Meter as well as supervise multiple technical loss reduction projects to improve system performance and reduce high tension feeder and technical loss.
• Instigated special task force to detect stealing and reduce loss of ordinary, industrial, and public sector consumers. Steered surveys and gathered information to facilitate company for the Smart Grid installation.
• Tested CT operated energy and Line meters of large and small industries and reviewed to assure accuracy and functionality of EMS application while carrying out necessary tune and rectification.
• Efficiently formulated all reports or documents for EMS and retained database regarding daily consumption of electricity, sent out variation, and electricity loss condition.
Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
• Devised and executed maintenance activities of all electrical and control equipment such as motors, transformers, switchgears, MOVs, drives, control panels, PLC, and DCS to ensure least down time.
• Competently supervised work by sub-ordinate to assure adherence of standard specifications for maintenance, and recommend improvement during schedule / unscheduled shutdown.
• Expertly applied IBA Signal System, Drive Window Software, and Control Builder M Professional to examine and troubleshoot fault of electrical and instrumentation control system and ABB ACS800 main motors drives.
• Successfully supervised everyday activities, formulated technical specifications for spare parts, and evaluated manpower requirement for maintaining warehouse inventory of electrical and instrument equipment to ensure the availability of all critical spares in case of emergency.
Assistant Electrical Engineer
Led a Project 231.8MW Karkey PowerShip/Barge Mounted Power Plant consisting of Diesel/ HFO 29 Engines.
• Played a stellar role in synchronizing generators and 132KV Line with KESC, supervising daily activities and keeping in record all the activities and modification made, and delivering support in the preparation of various maintenance performance reports such as preliminary failure root cause analysis report.
• Provided technical leadership for implementing maintenance and operation of electrical and control equipment such as motors, transformers, switchgears, MOVs, drives, PLC, and DCS to ensure least down time.
• Generated faults report, monitored all parameters on PLC monitoring system, and restored 132KV transmission line circuit in case of back feed from KESC.
• Actively liaised with Lakra, LDC, KESC, Orient Energy System Management, and Karkey Staff to generate and distribute issues and retain reports for UP and down generation of plant.
• Created permit, material requisition, and inventory buildup on Oracle based computerized maintenance management software and retained the logs for alarms and shutdown information.
• Designed process of contracting out major maintenance activities such as formulating tender documents including BOQ, SOW, and Engineering specifications while following company policy.
