Heading the craft and design education centre of district.

Major official duties include
A. DESIGN, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & MERCHANDISING
1. Devise design strategy for the village
2. Research & develop product concepts by making sketches of ideas by hand or computer, and
developing the most effective ideas into detailed tech pack drawings using specialist computer
software
3. Develop prototypes
4. Working within budgets
5. Producing reports and presentations of ideas & writing design briefs
6. Collaboration with MUSEUMS ASSOCIATION OF PAKISAN for souvenir designing
B. CAPACITY BUILDING OF ARTISANS & STUDENTS
1. Developing Curriculum for training of artisans
2. Developing Curriculum for training/internships of student/master artisans sessions.
3. Working closely with artisans clusters, model makers, sales and marketing staff and other skilled
people for new innovation
4. Understanding technology, production methods and allied materials (such as wood, stones and
plastics) for shaping courses
5. Conduct training programmes for the capacity building & empowerment of artisans
6. Developing presentations establish linkages with academia, businessmen, exporters and other
institutions for marketing of handicrafts
7. Conduct collaborative meetings, seminars and training internships for students at the village.
C. ADMINISTARTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Arranging meetings for steering committee
2. policy making and development of PC-1 documents for projects relating to creative designing,
product development & innovation, marketing, value addition and aesthetical training for the arts,
cultural and creative cottage industries artisans of Punjab
3. drafting mandatory paper work for the execution of village
4. attending meetings with the various in-house and other departments for the village tasks &
presentation
D. MARKETING & PROMOTION
1. Design brochures, marketing & print media etc
2. Design & develop promotional campaigns, marketing strategy for the promotion of handicrafts
3. Organize collaborative visit
