With over 19 years of experience in program management during emergencies, I have effectively responded to numerous medium to large-scale national crises, including the 2005 Earthquake and the 2010 Floods in Pakistan. My international experience includes significant contributions to the complex Refugee Response in Iraq in 2020. I am a certified CALPS professional specializing in MSMEs and cash assistance. Being a cash working group coordinator, my role aims to provide a platform for better coordination, learning, and technical exchange between humanitarian actors using cash transfers in humanitarian settings and establish standards and make recommendations to the HCT. The overall objective is met under the listed four sub-objectives.
1. Technical
• Collaborate on delivery approaches by implementing unified transfer values, like the Minimum Expenditure Basket (MEB), to enhance program efficiency.
• Create sector-specific targeting criteria that are standardized and harmonized, facilitating consistent beneficiary selection and coordinated assistance programming, drawing upon best practices.
2. Learning
• Establish comprehensive guidelines for Cash Transfer Programming (CTP), specifying the conditions and criteria for planning and implementing CTP.
• Disseminate best practices and insights derived from operational experience.
• Foster and support both internal and external learning opportunities, encompassing e-learning, training, and workshops, in close collaboration with the Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP).
• Address technical challenges within CTP and explore alternative solutions in line with best practices, lessons learned, and experiences from various organizations.
3. Information Sharing
• Develop and execute a work plan for Collaborative Working Group (CWG) joint activities, with a primary focus on capacity building, action research, information sharing, and achieving the outlined objectives for the year.
• Enhance program implementation by disseminating findings, reports (including Monitoring and Evaluation), assessments, and analytical work.
• Create and maintain an up-to-date Comprehensive Beneficiary Targeting (CBT) 3Ws platform containing pertinent program information, such as delivery mechanisms, modalities, donors, and partners.
• Compile a contact list for the CWG, including NGOs with experience in Cash Transfer Programming (CTP) in Pakistan, as well as other key stakeholders such as government institutions, financial service providers, the broader private sector, and both international and local NGOs.
4. Coordination
• Strengthen the integration of gender and protection considerations within cash programming, while prioritizing the inclusion of the most vulnerable and marginalized groups, which include but are not limited to female-headed households, the elderly, unaccompanied and separated children, and individuals with disabilities.
• Collaboratively engage with financial service providers to negotiate, where feasible, for the harmonization and reduction of transaction costs. Jointly establish minimum requirements for partnerships with humanitarian organizations in cash based programming. • Partner with clusters, sectors, and the Social Protection Working Group to address social protection issues and explore potential connections with related social safety-net programs. 
Key Achievements:
• Developed a comprehensive strategy for the FSL, resilience, work force development for ACTED\'s operations in Pakistan.
• Successfully trained and graduated 1,200 TVET students, with an impressive 99% employment rate.
• Established Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in merged districts of FATA through the Market for Peace program.
• Formulated an emergency response strategy for cash and food security and livelihoods (FSL) during the 2022 flood crisis.
• Designed and secured grants totaling $6 million USD from the WFP for their emergency response and early recovery efforts related to the 2022 floods, covering areas such as cash-based transfers -CBT early recovery.
• Successfully designed and secured additional flood response grants amounting to $5 million USD from the Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), encompassing emergency response and early recovery initiatives in food security and livelihoods (FSL) and resilience building in 2022.
• Orchestrated the design and acquisition of flood response grants totaling $1.5 million USD from the European Union (EU) for emergency response and early recovery efforts in 2022.
• Created a harmonized Minimum Expenditure Basket (MEB) in collaboration with the Cash Working Group (CWG).
• Formulated a Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) strategy for humanitarian actors operating in Pakistan.
