Under the project, with support from WFP, Qatar Charity (QC) will be targeting socio-economically disadvantaged rural communities in Rajanpur. The project will specifically focus on integrating water resources management, including flood water management through water ponds and piloting hydrological initiatives in 10 villages of Rajanpur. At a broader level, the project will also provide trainings, communal assets, and livelihoods support to enhance resilience against economic challenges. The project activities would result in quantifiable indicators such as increased water availability, improved agriculture related activity in target villages through water supply, and household income enhancement. A strong understanding of water supply management/practices, water ponds construction, hydrological assessments, project management and climate resilient modelling would be required to lead this project.
1. Job Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) position will be based in QC field office in Rajanpur. Extensive local (district) level travel is envisaged for this position to the targeted areas within Rajanpur district and occasionally to the Country Office in Islamabad. Very close coordination with QC country office (program and operation departments) would be required for this position. The PM would be expected to manage overall project implementation, team management and maintaining a close coordination with WFP focal person based in Lahore. The position is required to provide strong leadership and administrative management support to ensure that all project activities are well-coordinated and contribute to the implementation of resilience building, asset creation and livelihoods intervention in District Rajanpur. Along with ensuring the management of project activities at the field office level, the PM would be expected to provide strong thought leadership to QC’s resilience building programme.

3. Job Requirements:
a. Education
Master’s degree in hydrology, water management or other closely relevant discipline (Civil Engineering, Public Health etc).
b. Relevant experience
5-6 years’ experience in the same capacity - preferably in INGOs - or a donor agency.
Proven technical knowledge and capacity to lead water management activities, projects and programs.
Experience leading project implementation in a complex setting involving multiple stakeholders.
c. Computer knowledge
MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint), Outlook

a. Communication skills
Proven capacity to negotiate and work with governments at different levels.
b. Technical skills
Budget tracking and reporting, HR management and reporting.
