SIF is currently seeking a Team Leader with expertise for the management of a donor-funded project in Chitral, KP. The Team Leader will support SIF in the implementation of funded project activities.
The Team Leader will be responsible for assisting the project, manager in developing and implementing the program strategy and approach according to the shared objectives of SIF & Donor and the time frame in all of its components, as well as coordination with logistics, HR, Finance, Security, and administration departments. The Project Manager is also responsible for training and capacity building of staff.
Objective 1: Community mobilization of community:
Activities:
- To supervise of assessment and distribution, ensuring reach out to the most vulnerable communities;
- To have an overall supervision of strong community mobilization component for project activities;
Objective 2: Implement project activities:
Activities:
- Provide leadership on water resources conservation, forest restoration, community development and environmental protection in project sites.
- Develop strategies/methods and implement the activities related to the Living Revier Indus project in accordance with the donor specifications, timeframe, and budget allocated.
- Develop and manage water conservation public education and outreach programs; including design and
- Implementation of a water conservation educational display.
- Liaise with project partners and other projects in SIF to share lessons learnt and best practices from different projects.
- Provides oversight and training to staff assigned to perform groundwater management and water supply program activities.
- Conducting regular monitoring field visits of SIF-targeted Project areas.
- Provide orientations on projects as per proposals to staff members internally and externally as and when needed.
- Ensure the effectiveness of project activities on a weekly/ monthly basis and submit weekly/ monthly, Progress reports as per set indicators and targets of the project to the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with the Finance/Admin and Logistics to ensure that project supplies and resources are available in a timely manner to support project implementation.
- Provide support and guidance to other SIF staff to assist in their capacity-building activities.
- Regularly report to Project Manager and Base Program Manager-KP on all activities, weekly, bi-monthly & monthly with progress, achievements, bottlenecks to document challenges and lesson learned.
- Coordinate with donors on all project-related activities and devise joint strategies for project implementation.
Objective 3: Documentation and Reporting:
Activities:
- To ensure project documentation are in accordance with organizational requirement.
- To compile and update weekly distribution records.
- To assist in collection of assessment and distribution data, synthesis, analysis and final compilation of all the data.
- To assist in the compilation of different reports i.e. project progress report, and the donor reports (help in meeting the reporting deadlines).
- Support in Reporting to project officer along with the other team members, and ensure the deadlines.
Objective 4: Coordination:
Activities
- To coordinate and train the field team for the quality data collection and consolidation
- Coordinate with Local Administration for implementation and endorsement of activities.
- Any other task assigned by the line Manager.

Knowledge/Skills/Behaviour
- University degree in Physical science, Environmental or civil engineering, economics, natural resource management, urban or regional planning, or business or water conservation or related field related subject from HEC/Gvt. accredited institute in addition to strong managerial skills.
- Five to eight of experiences in the development field with the reputed organizations.
- Knowledge and experience in providing presentations and written reports.
- Good inter-person and communication, liaison and presentation skill.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Be culturally sensitive and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Be able to deal with people at all levels with tact and diplomacy.
- Good Team player and motivated to work in remote and uncertain environment respecting standard operating procedures as devised and instructed.
