Shifa Foundation is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behaviour at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity and financial misconduct; and committed to promoting the welfare of children, young people, adults and beneficiaries with whom Shifa Foundation engages. Shifa Foundation expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct. We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.

The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation.

All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks. Shifa Foundation also participates in the Inter Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme, Misconduct Disclosure Scheme — SCHR. In line with this Scheme, we will request information from job applicants’ previous employers about any findings of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and/or sexual harassment during employment, or incidents under investigation when the applicant left employment. By submitting an application, the job applicant confirms his/her understanding of these recruitment procedures.

Digital and Broadcast Marketing

  • Develop and implement a series of well-coordinated digital marketing campaigns and fundraising activities across various platforms, including the organization's website.
  • Enhance broadcast marketing channels such as SMS, WhatsApp, and Email marketing to reach a wider audience and drive donor engagement.

Fundraising Knowledge and Strategy

  • Utilize a deep understanding of fundraising strategies, Detailed Implementation Plan, donor engagement techniques, and the philanthropic landscape to secure funding.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with endowment funds and sustainable funding models to contribute to long-term financial health.

Event Management

  • Plan, develop, and execute a range of fundraising events, including webinars, seminars, workshops, and volunteer engagement activities.
  • Attend and represent the organization at non-profit events, networking with key stakeholders to build relationships and identify fundraising opportunities.

Donor Engagement and Partnership Development

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with national and international donors, sponsors, and partners to achieve mutual strategic goals.
  • Engage potential donors by understanding their interests, communicating the organization’s mission and impact, and highlighting the benefits of contributing to the endowment fund.
  • Coordinate and lead strategic meetings with stakeholders to present Shifa Foundation’s goals, fostering collaboration and mobilizing resources.

Research and Compliance

  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential resources, prospective donors, and key stakeholders aligned with the vision and mission of Shifa Foundation.
  • Ensure that all fundraising activities adhere to legal and ethical standards, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the fundraising process.

Volunteer Programs

  • Develop and manage programs aimed at image-building and achieving fundraising goals.
  • Manage the training, and engagement of volunteers to expand the volunteer database across Pakistan.

Budgeting and Financial Management

  • Lead the development of annual income and expenditure budgets and forecasting for institutional and individual fundraising activities.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on financial commitments from donors, including donation acknowledgment and donor recognition activities.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Produce regular internal reports on the performance and progress of institutional fundraising against agreed financial targets, operational activities, and annual objectives.
  • Manage the grant application process, ensuring all reporting meets donor expectations.

Customized Donor Engagement

  • Develop tailored engagement plans for different donor segments to maximize contributions to the endowment fund.
  • Prepare and present compelling, customized funding proposals and concept notes to secure grants and donations.

Field Work and Networking

  • Conduct field visits and participate in community outreach to better understand donor needs and identify new opportunities for engagement.
  • Organize and participate in strategic meetings and networking events to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Internship Program

  • Design and implement a new model of the Internship Program to engage interns effectively in the organization's mission and operations.

Communication and Promotional Materials

  • Work closely with the Communication Focal Person to develop and design promotional and visibility materials that enhance the organization’s image.

Miscellaneous Duties

  • Prepare and deliver presentations as required.
  • Undertake any other official tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
