HOD Eletrical

A renowned Sugar Mill is looking for a HOD Electrical to be based in Faisalabad. He will be responsible for To support the Head of the Department in providing effective leadership and management of the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering. The Deputy Head of the Department will be a member of the Department executive and as such will be required to take an active role in running the Department.

Main Responsibilities

To contribute to the formation of the strategy and plans at the Departmental Executive level.
To contribute to the planning and managing of the Department’s human, financial and physical resources with particular responsibility for the management and development of teaching laboratories.
To oversee the mentoring and career development of academic staff, specifically ECRs and lecturers.
To assist with the management of the Department’s academic staff, including allocation of workloads, staff development and performance reviews, recruitment and selection, health and safety.
To undertake additional responsibilities as periodically agreed with the Head of the Department.
Be familiar with, or have a willingness to learn, the administrative and management systems of the University.
Have a personal track record of academic excellence in research, teaching, and administration, and a willingness to contribute to the strategic development of the Department.
Have demonstrated management and leadership qualities.
To commit to nurturing talent across all three job areas (teaching, research, and administration).
Demonstrated the ability to manage multiple administrative and management tasks and to deliver tasks according to process, including meeting deadlines.
Capability to support the HoD, or independently, to manage difficult conflicts or other challenging situations with staff and students in a prompt, sensitive, and fair manner.
