Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Generate financial reports that detail the restaurant’s financial status, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance with budgeted figures.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
    • Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
  4. Payroll Management:

    • Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
    • Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  5. Inventory Management:

    • Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  6. Compliance and Taxation:

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
    • Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax.
  7. Internal Controls and Auditing:

    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
    • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  8. Financial Strategy and Planning:

    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
    • Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies that align with the restaurant’s goals.
  9. Technology and Software:

    • Utilize accounting software and other financial management tools.
    • Stay updated with advancements in accounting technology and recommend improvements.

Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
