We are looking for a skilled VoIP Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and deploying Asterisk and Asterisk-based applications such as GoAutoDial, Vicidial, Vicibox, and FreePBX. This role requires a candidate with a strong backend understanding of VoIP systems, including writing SQL queries for dialer reports, modifying configuration files via Linux terminal, and debugging complex issues beyond GUI. Prior experience in managing Vicidial database schemas, cron jobs, and backend dial plan configurations will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and deploy Asterisk and Asterisk-based applications, including GoAutoDial, Vicidial, Vicibox, and FreePBX, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
  • System Deployment: Plan and execute the deployment of VoIP systems, including setup, testing, and integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to Vicidial, Asterisk, and other VoIP systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades on VoIP systems to ensure they are running smoothly and securely.
  • Optimization: Analyze and optimize VoIP system performance, making adjustments to improve call quality, system reliability, and overall user experience.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting activities for future reference and auditing purposes.
  • Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients on the use of VoIP systems and applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure VoIP systems are effectively integrated with the broader IT infrastructure.
  • Compliance: Ensure all VoIP systems and configurations adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in installing, configuring, and deploying Asterisk and Asterisk-based applications like GoAutoDial, Vicidial, Vicibox, and FreePBX.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Asterisk, Vicidial, and related VoIP technologies, with experience in troubleshooting and optimizing these systems.
  • Networking Skills: Understanding of networking principles, including SIP, RTP, QoS, and VoIP codecs, with the ability to troubleshoot network-related issues in VoIP environments.
  • Linux Proficiency: Experience working with Linux operating systems, including command-line operations, for managing Asterisk and related applications.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certifications in Asterisk, VoIP, or related technologies are a plus.
