The role requires handling customer onboarding, deposit placements, reporting, and document management with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily activities in Deposit Operations including:
  • New customer onboarding
  • Opening, rollover, and payout of Term Deposits
  • CBRB regulatory reporting
  • MIS report generation
  • Management of Overnight Deposit Facility
  • Custody, control, and archival of customer files and documents
  • Ensure that all operations are carried out with maximum efficiency, control, and in line with standard operating procedures
  • Respond to deposit-related inquiries from branches, contact centers, relationship managers, and customers
  • Verify the validity of all customer instructions before processing or updating in the Core Banking System (CBS)
  • Maintain strict control over pipeline applications and ensure adherence to internal policies and compliance guidelines
  • Resolve customer issues related to deposits, rollovers, and account maintenance, while channeling feedback into process improvements
  • Detect and report any suspicious or potentially fraudulent transactions to protect the organization from financial or reputational risk
  • Coordinate with the Reconciliation Unit to ensure accurate matching of control/suspense/sundry accounts between GL and CBS
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes by identifying control gaps or inefficiencies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Deposit Operations at a bank
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong understanding of deposit products, banking procedures, and core systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and report generation tools
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership
  • Highly detail-oriented with a compliance-first mindset
