Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Conduct result-oriented social mobilization activities and formulate community groups at Mohalla level.
  • Conduct baseline surveys/assessments of Kharian City and neighboring areas.
  • Coordinate and mobilize communities on conducting focus group discussion in the target areas and develop meeting minutes for record.
  • Conduct research/assessment on social and financial issues of communities.
  • Develop strong relationship with community and engage local organizations, community leaders, and residents of the intervention areas.
  • Identify potential community members to get benefits from CS’s Programs and turning them into beneficiaries.
  • Capture photographs, fill & report formats for each activity and keep strong follow-ups.
  • Ensure close coordination with Team-CS and provide support in the implementation of project(s) activities.
  • Identify beneficiaries for and document success stories/case studies/ human interest stories.
  • Ensure adherence to Citizen Society’s operational policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least graduate degree with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in social mobilization and community work.
  • Strong knowledge of social mobilization and survey tools.
  • Experience in conducting surveys is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS-Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of, and experience, working in Kharian.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of mobilizing communities and working with local authorities.
  • Displays culture, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.

Key Deliverables:

  • Ensure full compliance of CS’s Social Mobilization Program policy at each level and update database on software.
  • Furnish weekly/monthly reports of social mobilization program activities and make follow-ups with community groups.
  • Keep supervisor(s) abreast on the activities with given timelines.
  • Provide actionable insights and manage risks related to internal/external accounts.
