As a Senior Accountant, you will report directly to the manager and will be responsible for:
- Preparation and review of financial statements for a range of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- VAT bookkeeping and submissions.
- Preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payroll.
- Corporation tax returns and compliance.
- Reconciliation of accounts, including bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.
- Monitoring and maintaining client records to ensure compliance with UK standards.
- Liaising with clients via phone and email, maintaining and building strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate will be Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified in ACA / ACCA / (or equivalent). Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a UK public practice environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
You will use accounting software such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, TaxCalc, IRIS, KashFlow, Sage, and Xero, so any prior experience with these packages will be highly advantageous.
