Manager Accounts

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hotel, including managing accounting functions, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the hotel’s overall financial strategy. This role involves budgeting, auditing, managing accounts payable and receivable, and working closely with the management team to maintain financial health and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial documents. Provide analysis and recommendations based on financial data to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the hotel’s budgeting process and assist in financial forecasting. Monitor actual performance against the budget, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to management.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate collection of outstanding balances. Manage relationships with vendors and clients to ensure proper payment terms.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the hotel’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for daily operations. Maintain accurate records of cash transactions and perform regular cash reconciliations.
Tax Preparation & Reporting: Prepare tax-related documents and ensure the hotel’s compliance with tax regulations. Work with external accountants and tax advisors for tax filings and reporting.
Cost Control & Profitability: Implement and monitor internal controls to track costs and reduce unnecessary expenses. Work with department heads to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements in operational efficiency.
Team Management: Lead and supervise the accounts team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Financial Systems: Ensure the use of proper accounting software and financial systems for accurate financial data management. Evaluate and recommend upgrades to accounting systems as needed to improve efficiency.
Financial Strategy & Analysis: Work closely with the hotel’s senior management to provide financial insights that help guide business decisions. Support in the development of financial strategies to improve profitability and performance.
Internal Controls: Ensure the establishment and implementation of strong internal controls to safeguard the hotel’s assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar professional accounting certification is preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role. Experience within the hospitality industry is highly preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and auditing practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
