Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end import process, including coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and process all necessary import documentation, such as shipping invoices, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including import restrictions, trade regulations, and customs duties.
- Collaborate with internal departments to monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate product availability.
- Conduct customs valuation, classification, and tariff analysis to determine the most cost-effective importation methods.
- Monitor and track shipments, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to stakeholders.
- Resolve any import-related issues or delays, communicating with the relevant parties to find suitable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in import and export, preferably in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex import situations and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in using import and logistics software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
