Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and maintain GIS databases and digitization related to solid waste management, including collection routes, landfill sites, recycling centers, and waste generation patterns.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality through regular audits and validation processes.
- Spatial analysis to identify trends in waste generation and disposal, optimizing waste collection routes, landfill site selection, and facility placement for maximum efficiency.
- Analyze geographic data to optimize waste collection routes, landfill site selection, and facility placement.
- Manage GIS applications, perform data analysis, and create detailed maps and reports to support operational decision-making.
- Generate vector data and work proficiently with GIS software such as ArcGIS; handle spatial data formats such as KML, Shapefile, etc.
- Create maps, conduct spatial analysis, and provide insights by creating spatial data from scratch or adapting existing datasets.
- Develop custom GIS applications and dashboards to display relevant data for transparency.
