Job Purpose:

  • Assistant Meal Officer will be responsible to develop project specific monitoring plans and approved by Senior Officer MEAL KP.
  •  Assistant MEAL Officer will be responsible to identify Gaps, Non-Compliances and recommend course correction measures and recommendation are shared with Senior MEAL Officer.
  • Assistant MEAL Officer will be responsible for the beneficiaries and community related complaints mechanism are in place. All complaints are registered and handled according to IR Pakistan CRM policy.
  • Assistant MEAL Officer will be responsible for collection of data and record maintenance according to the IR and Donor requirements of the Project activities.
  • Assistanr MEAL Officer will be responsible for Project post distribution monitoring and reporting to Senior MEAL Officer.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support program reviews, impact assessments, process monitoring, and lessons-learned workshops.
  • Design and implement project-specific MEAL frameworks and data collection mechanisms.
  • Provide input for developing structured reporting formats for monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
  • Identify key performance indicators to track project performance against targets.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks and procedures in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Conduct baseline studies, assessments, and contextual analysis using appropriate methodologies.
  • Perform periodic field visits to assess MEAL framework implementation and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure follow-up on recommendations and observations from MEAL staff and thematic leads.
  • Develop project templates and ensure timely reporting of MEAL activities.
  • Manage data archiving and generate analytical reports as required.
  • Prepare Terms of Reference (TORs) for baselines, evaluations, and impact studies.
  • Lead project inception activities, including developing TORs for inception workshops.
  • Compile and submit project progress reports and trackers to the Area Office and Country Office.
  • Develop success stories and case studies for reporting and advocacy.
  • Implement accountability mechanisms in line with MEAL frameworks and humanitarian standards, ensuring an effective complaints handling system.
  • Conduct regular field visits (70% fieldwork, 30% reporting).
  • Submit weekly and consolidated monthly reports with actionable recommendations to the MEAL department and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support PR and media teams in strengthening relationships with media representatives.
  • Assist in providing situation reports and fundraising materials to enhance IRW’s public and international visibility.

Qualification: Bachelor/Master Degree in social sciences

Experience: 1 years' experience with master's and 2 years with bachelor's degree in the relevant field

 Language: 

Urdu, English and local languages

Computer: MS Office, Outlook, SPSS, the familiarity of working with online databases
