- Plan, execute, and report on internal audits, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls to identify risks and areas for improvement.
- Perform risk assessments to prioritize audit focus areas based on organizational needs and industry trends.
- Examine financial records, reports, and processes to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyse expenditures, revenues, and operational costs to identify discrepancies, irregularities, or opportunities for optimization.
- Review operational processes and practices to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial reporting standards, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations for corrective action or process improvement.
- Present findings to management and support teams in implementing recommended changes.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and adapt audit practices accordingly.
- Provide suggestions for streamlining processes and enhancing internal controls to support organizational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather required documentation and ensure smooth execution of audit activities.
- Follow up on previous audit recommendations to assess the effectiveness of implemented changes.
