The Deputy Manager for Roads and Area Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and safety of road infrastructure, including road signs, road markings, and general maintenance activities.

This role includes managing maintenance staff and ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards, adhering to safety regulations and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Road Infrastructure Management:Oversee maintenance and upkeep of roads, including road lines, road signs, and other traffic safety measures.
  • Ensure all road markings and signage comply with safety standards and are visible and functional at all times.
  • Maintenance Oversight:Supervise all maintenance activities within the assigned area, including plumbing, electrical systems, civil works, and waste management.
  • Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure and machinery, addressing urgent issues promptly.
  • Team Leadership:Manage and lead the maintenance team, ensuring proper training, resource allocation, and motivation.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure staff adhere to safety protocols and performance standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance:Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize disruptions and prevent breakdowns.
  • Schedule routine inspections for road safety, water supply, electricity, and waste management systems.
  • Compliance and Safety:Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and legal standards.
  • Promote a safety-first culture among the maintenance team.
  • Record Management:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, service logs, and inventory reports.
  • Track inventory for spare parts, tools, and equipment to ensure timely availability

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
  • Additional certifications in facilities management, HVAC systems, or project management are a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in residential or housing society management.
