We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer to join our team remotely. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our website to ensure it meets the needs of our business and clients.
As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing an e-commerce platform for our furniture wholesale business. The website should provide an excellent user experience for our customers, showcasing our product range, integrating inventory and sales management systems, and facilitating seamless online orders for retailers and B2B clients. You will work closely with our sales, marketing, and IT teams to deliver a robust, scalable, and modern website.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain a fully responsive website tailored to the furniture wholesale business.
- Implement a user-friendly e-commerce platform with secure checkout, product catalogues, inventory management, and order tracking systems.
Back-End Integration:
- Build and integrate APIs for inventory management, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party tools.
- Ensure seamless back-end operations for efficient customer order processing and stock management.
UI/UX Design:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate website with a focus on usability and accessibility.
- Continuously improve the user experience through A/B testing, analytics, and customer feedback.
SEO and Performance Optimization:
- Ensure the website is optimized for search engines, fast loading times, and mobile devices.
- Implement best practices for SEO and website performance to increase traffic and conversion rates.
Maintenance & Security:
- Perform regular website updates, bug fixes, and security patches.
- Monitor site performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and functionality.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with other departments (marketing, sales, and operations) to align website features with business goals.
- Provide regular progress reports and update key stakeholders on the development process.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in web development languages including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Strong back-end development skills using Node.js, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom-built solutions).
- Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations (payment gateways, inventory systems, etc.).
Tools & Platforms:
- Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress or Joomla.
- Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of cloud hosting platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Design & UX Skills:
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first development.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
Other Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience developing websites for B2B or wholesale businesses.
- Experience working in the furniture or home goods industry.
- Knowledge of security protocols for e-commerce websites, including PCI-DSS compliance.
