British American Tobacco Germany has an exciting opportunity for a International Management Trainee in Human Resources, in Hamburg

As an International Management Trainee in Human Resources, you will have the unique opportunity to lay the foundation for a successful and internationally oriented career. In this 18-months program, you will work on cross-functional and cross-market projects within Central Europe as BAT s second largest area, including the end markets Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Gather exciting experiences from different rotations within HR department (e.g. Business Partnering, Talent Management, Reward and Industrial Relations) in our German headquarters in Hamburg.
  • Help us shape our HR agenda and strategy to transform our business and contribute your own ideas on projects that make us best in class.
  • Build your network beyond national borders with an international exposure with stakeholders in our offices abroad such as Warsaw, Vienna, Lausanne, or Bucharest
  • Learn how to drive HR Operations with a Business Partnering rotation in our Bayreuth Factory
  • Plan your career together with one of our senior leaders as your individual coach, who will guide you through the program and commits to help you grow on a professional and personal level.
  • Drive your learning curve by managing different stakeholders from our employees to mid-level or senior managers as well as our works council and by communicating effectively with various target groups.
  • Get to know our sales business from scratch by visiting our Field Force

What are we looking for?

  • Fluency in German and English is a must.
  • Bachelor s or master s degree, e.g. in Human Resources Management, (Business) Psychology, Business Administration or (International) Management
  • First functional HR experience as an intern or working student (min. 4 months)
  • International experience, e.g. through a semester or internship abroad (min. 4 months)
  • A courageous and passionate personality with strong communicative, conceptual and analytical skills
  • Strong international career aspirations and mobility
  • A sound leadership mindset
