Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets for the housing society.
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and projections to provide accurate forecasts and make informed financial decisions.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present periodic financial reports to the management and the board of directors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Fund Management:

  • Oversee the collection of maintenance fees, dues, and other revenues.
  • Manage the society's financial investments to optimize returns while minimizing risks.

Auditing and Compliance:

  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other legal requirements.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity positions to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and manage financial risks.

Expense Control:

  • Review and approve all expenditures to ensure they align with the budget and society's financial policies.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of services provided.

Financial Policies and Procedures:

  • Develop and enforce robust financial policies and procedures for society.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are executed in accordance with established guidelines.

Team Management:

  • Lead and supervise the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and efficiency.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the society's overall goals and objectives.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the board of directors, presenting financial performance and answering inquiries as needed.
