Key Responsibilities:

  1. Machine Operation:

    • Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to perform various machining tasks, including drilling, cutting, milling, and turning.
    • Load raw materials into the machine and unload finished parts after machining.
    • Monitor the machine operations to ensure proper cutting and shaping of materials.
    • Adjust machine settings and controls to optimize production quality and efficiency.
  2. Programming and Setup:

    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the machining operations required.
    • Input CNC programs into the machine or modify existing programs based on engineering instructions.
    • Conduct test runs to ensure the machine operates correctly and produces the desired outputs.
  3. Quality Control:

    • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
    • Make necessary adjustments to the machine settings to correct any deviations or defects.
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, defects found, and machine maintenance performed.
  4. Machine Maintenance:

    • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose minor mechanical issues, performing repairs or coordinating with maintenance technicians as needed.
    • Ensure that machines are calibrated correctly and that all tools are sharp and in good condition.
  5. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with other team members, such as engineers, programmers, and quality control inspectors, to improve production processes.
    • Communicate any issues, delays, or suggestions for improvement to supervisors and team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of CNC machine operation, programming (G-code), and basic machine maintenance. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. High precision in measurements and quality checks.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of mechanical processes and machinery.

Education and Experience:
