Eastern Capital limited was founded in 1995 to provide dedicated services including stock broking, carry over transaction, portfolio management and advisory services to its valuable clients.

Over the past 10 years ECL has grown to sizeable organization with more than 150 professionals serving clients in their best capacity.

ECL is devoted to offer the best service to its clients and to deliver to promise services to the clients, each department or unit is focused on the specific needs of that client.
History

Eastern Capital Limited was formed in 1995 by First General Leasing Modarba (FGLM), in collaboration with Allied Bank of Pakistan and FMO, under the name General Fund Management Limited. The name was changed to ECL in 1998, during the process of dis-investment by FGLM. The initial business plan as conceived by FGLM was to make the company a public limited company with Authorized capital of Rs.80m. Rs. 31m was, paid, subscribed and issued to FGLM (50%), Allied Bank (15%) and FMO (35%).

During March 1999, FGLM reached an agreement with Munir Ladha, through ORIX Bank to disinvest it�s holding of ECL shares. Now Eastern capital limited has grown to become one of the esteemed brokerage houses of Pakistan offering online trading facility, with its branch network spread all over the country.

Through its three - tiered sales set - up, retail, local and foreign institution's group, ECL have been able to achieve, in a remarkably short span of time, an extensive sales depth that enables us to execute large orders quickly and efficiently.

Eastern Capital has also successfully pioneered the concept of a retail brokerage house network in the country. It is the first multinational brokerage house to open "share shops" with a view to broaden our client base.
In doing so, philosophy has been to make the stock market a viable and accessible option for the saving public, and in doing so, capitalize this largely untapped opportunity to its benefit.

Equity Research
Eastern Capital Limited maintains a research team which is well-equipped and trained to provide timely research reports and market updates to facilitate clients in their decision making.

Analysts of Eastern Capital Limited do all the technical based analysis and fundamental research analyses and project rise and fall in the value of index and share prices of the listed companies. These reports and market updates are presented before the sales team, while reports are emailed to all the clients so as to enable them for prudent decision making
