National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) initiated an urban micro Credit Programme (UPAP) as per Instruction of the Ministry of Finance GOVT of Pakistan in Jun-1996. The Objective of this programme are to improve the quality of life of disadvantage and low income people and to develop an indigenous model to alleviation poverty in the urban areas of Pakistan through availability of credit service. At present UPAP is operating in Nine major cities of Pakistan, UPAP has 14 district offices, 192 settlement offices and 1132 staff member.
