We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team in the e-commerce sector of our petrochemical company. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Accounting and the CEO to ensure efficient management of accounts receivable, timely vendor payments, and accurate financial reporting related to online order fulfillment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections for all online sales through the company website and Amazon store.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to manage vendor payments, ensuring compliance with contract terms and timely processing.
  • Track online orders, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile payments for delivered orders to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including sales reports, customer aging reports, and cash flow forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Generate, analyze, and present financial documents for vendors, including invoices and payment confirmation.
  • Assist in monthly and yearly closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support internal and external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, logistics, and customer service, to resolve payment and order fulfillment issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • CA Finalist with Articleship 3.5 years
  • Or CA inter with Articleship completed 3.5 years
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on eCommerce or online sales preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable and vendor payment processes.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks,) and Microsoft Excel; experience with eCommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • Knowledge of petrochemical industry practices is desirable but not mandatory.
