Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to develop, validate, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for our medical laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and validate SOPs for laboratory procedures, instruments, and equipment
Review and update existing SOPs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Collaborate with laboratory staff to identify and document best practices
Ensure SOPs are concise, clear, and easily understood by laboratory personnel
Provide training and support to laboratory staff on new and updated SOPs
Conduct quality control checks to ensure SOPs are being followed
Participate in internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements to continuously improve SOPs
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure SOPs align with quality management systems
Develop and maintain documentation related to SOPs, including validation records and training logs

Requirements:

Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
3+ years of experience in a medical laboratory setting
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and regulatory compliance
Excellent writing, communication, and training skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Certification (e.g., ASCP, NCA) preferred
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189
