We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our American company's finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions and financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create regular financial reports on profit/loss, cash flows, receivables, and other metrics to inform business strategy.
- Understand American tax law to properly allocate funds and employ tax-saving strategies.
- Manage relationships with credit card providers to pay balances and raise credit limits on existing cards. Obtain new lines of credit to support company growth and higher spending limits.
- Use QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records across taxes, transactions, payments, and other accounting functions.
- Pay company bills and invoices in a timely manner.
- Assist with budget preparation and ongoing budget management.
- Prepare accounts receivable and payable.
- Comply with financial reporting requirements and standards.
- Identify process improvements for greater efficiency and cost savings.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA preferred.
- 3+ years experience in accounting role, including managing AR/AP.
- Working knowledge of American tax laws and regulations.
- Experience obtaining business credit cards and managing card limits and spending.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
