This role will be responsible for managing the digital payments P&L, focusing on internet payment gateway solutions (IPG) and open banking partnerships with fintechs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our online payments and open banking initiatives.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Strategy & Leadership:Define and lead the strategic direction for the online payments and Open Banking portfolio and ensure alignment with the bank's overall business strategy.

P&L Management:Oversee the full P&L for the online payment systems.Implement strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability while managing costs effectively.

Product Development:Lead the development and enhancement of UBL payment gateway and Open Banking offerings to ensure they meet market needs, regulatory requirements and prioritize product roadmap.

Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with payment schemes, technology providers, regulatory bodies and other third-party agents to maximize value for the bank.

Strategic Projects:Lead the product development of strategic projects like Raast and UBL Payments aggregator to maintain competitiveness.

Partnership development:Identify and establish strategic partnerships with fintechs and other financial institutions for open banking initiatives.Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners

Market analysis:Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape.Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the competitive positioning of UBL Pay’s digital payment solutions.

Customer Focus:Ensure exceptional customer experience and satisfaction across all digital payment and open banking services.Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve service offerings

Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all products comply with relevant laws and regulations.Implement risk management strategies to protect the bank and its customers from financial risks.

Team Leadership:Manage and mentor a team of product managers, analysts, and other supporting staff.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Preferably MBA (from a reputed university)

  Minimum Experience:

  • At least 7-8 years of professional experience
  • A background in managing P&L and Digital Payment products
