Essential Duties:

  • Operate skid steer loaders to perform tasks such as loading, excavating, backfilling, grading, and transporting materials.
  • Maneuver the skid steer loader using hand and foot controls to navigate tight spaces and perform precise movements.
  • Attach and detach various attachments to the skid steer loader, such as buckets, forks, augers, and grapples, according to project requirements.
  • Follow project blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the appropriate tasks and techniques for completing work efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, landscapers, and other team members to plan and execute tasks according to project timelines and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the skid steer loader, such as checking fluid levels, greasing moving parts, and inspecting hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of the skid steer loader to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate activities and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the skid steer loader and surrounding work area.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a skid steer loader operator or similar role.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness (Dover test).
  • Strong knowledge of operating skid steer loaders and familiarity with various attachments.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions, blueprints, and project plans.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as operating controls and sitting for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety at all times.
