Job Purpose:

As part of the WASH intervention, to safeguard and improve the public health of the vulnerable communities particularly women, girls and children by: promoting safe WASH practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services; ensuring appropriate girls involvement in the design and delivery of essential WASH services and facilities; ensuring effective coordination and integration of Hygiene Promotion activities with the delivery of water and sanitation services and facilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support in formation / reactivation of Community Organizations (COs) and conduction of training on health and hygiene sessions O&M, and Tool kit provision.
  • Facilitate & support the supervisor in the development of activities detail implementation plan, Procurement plan, Cash flow, and media & communication plan of the activities.
  • Conduction of pre- and post-KAP surveys / baselines in the area to elevate the effectiveness of the interventions.
  • Identification of key hygiene practices to be addressed and sectors of the population with whom to engage and develop an appropriate communications strategy to promote safe practices.
  • Implement project activities related to Hygiene promotion in the targeted Women's College.
  • Promotion and education within the targeted area through communication with the community elders and relevant departments.
  • Design hygiene sessions & Conduct hygiene awareness sessions focusing on safe water usage, Personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), sanitation & F-diagram.
  • Active participation in the Campaigns e.g. Global Hand Washing Day, World Toilet Day, Environment Day, and  MHM Day.
  • Adapt and assist in developing information, education, and communication (IEC) materials for Hygiene.
  • Ensure that Hygiene Promotion activities are in line with relevant standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles.
  • Conducting the targeted hygiene promotion sessions with complete record keeping and pictorial proofs.
  • Proper record keeping of project activities at community & office levels both in soft & hard forms.
  • Document Project impact through case studies.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly work plans and activity reports to the supervisor.
  • Ensure the timely submission of technical and activities reports.
  • Perform any task assigned by the supervisor as and when required.

Person Specification: It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its PSEAH (preventing sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. Qualification: Graduate preferably Master Degree holder in social sciences / Health Sciences etc

Experience: Fresh

 Language: Urdu, English and local languages

Computer: MS Office, Email/Outlook
