As an Assistant Officer-People & Culture team, you will be responsible for supporting the People Engagement, wellbeing and performance enablement initiatives in ensuring a positive and engaging workplace culture for employees.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work with Manager to develop and implement people engagement strategies, special events and overall P&C branding opportunities.
  • Support, coordinate and manage records of people performance management cycle throughout the year including innovative ways to promote performance optimization culture within IRC.
  • Develop calendars for available Learning and Development opportunities, collate TNAs and assist in the execution of plan.
  • Assist in planning and executing staff learning sessions round the year.  
  • Assist in developing creative infographics and other communications as part of the P&C communication initiatives
  • Support manager in executing people well – being initiatives as a key component of P&C vision.
  • Work in close partnership with People -operations team (country & field) to gather and update multiple people data dashboards.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee events and activities, including social events, team-building exercises, and organization-wide events.
  • Provide administrative support to the People engagement team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Stay up to date with current trends in People Experience and suggest innovative ideas to continuously improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Support developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that enhance the people’s experience during their life at IRC.
  • Always happy to assist people to answer their queries promptly and effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Person Specifications:

Education:

·         Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, additional qualifications in digital media will be a plus.

Work Experience:

At least 03 years of work experience in HR operations but more specifically in people development and engagement function.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Comfortable working with HR systems and technology.
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and hands on any digital media software is required.
  • Ability to speak and write clearly to communicate a message
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to different working environments
  • Ability to work under own initiative and prioritize a range of tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills

This role requires working fulltime in office, and willingness to travel to IRC sites of operation as needed. Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace they can effectively complete their work during regularly scheduled work hours.
