IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and is currently working across the country

Job Summary 

GBVIMS Officer will work under the guidance and direct supervision of WPE Coordinator. The GBVIMS Officer will primarily be responsible for ensuring GBV data is accurately and ethically collected, stored, analyzed & shared in strict adherence to the GBVIMS Guidelines and relevant protection standards. They will be responsible for all monitoring and evaluation and reporting aspects of the WPE activities to inform better program interventions under the supervision of, and with technical support from, of the WPE Coordinator. They will also lead on developing and implementing qualitative feedback mechanisms with the WPE team of programming activities and services. S/he will be responsible to receive, enter and monitor data on GBVIMS. Along with WPE Coordinator S/he will be responsible to lead the data entry process by maintaining confidentiality.

Major Responsibilities:

• Directly oversee all GBV data collection and management with the support and supervision of the WPE Coordinator
• Ensure forms, databases, record keeping are in line with standards of working on GBVIMS and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
• Generate reports on a weekly and monthly basis only using non-identifiable information in line with recommendations from the WPE Coordinator and WPE technical advisor
• For non-survivor data, modify existing databases and database management systems according to requirements as led by the WPE coordinator
• GBVIMS and any survivor data entry of records and will only share records on demand of program section under the supervision of WPE Coordinator ensuring confidentiality
• Ensure data received from the field teams is correctly entered into the program trackers on a regular weekly basis - gather, consolidate, clarify errors and clear the program data
• Plan, coordinate and implement database security measures to safeguard information in client computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure
• Answer questions and queries on database use and management
• Develop user access levels for each segment of database according to program management specifications
• Review procedures in database management system manuals for making any necessary changes to the database, according to protection management needs
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and also participate in the design and implementation of the M&E plans for the WPE program
• Data entry as required.
• Support caseworkers in GBV data management in standard tools
• Any other project related task assigned by the supervisor.
• Submit monthly program data and indicator tracking reports and analysis to the WPE Coordinator, in-line with safety and ethical standards
• Compile, edit, and write monthly and quarterly WPE quantitative program reports using assigned template, including collating reports from field staff and producing final information product
• Train and offer needed support to WPE staff to correctly and effective use GBVIMS tools (GBV Classification tool, consent form, intake form, incident recorder & ISP) and WPE case trackers and other program activity and indicator trackers
• Train WPE program staff in data collection and reporting tools and requirements as needed.

Position Reports to: Program Officer/WPE Manager

• Internal: WPE Team
• External: SWD, CPWC Government Departments & Civil Society Organizations.

Job Requirements

 a.   Education

The applicant should hold a minimum of a university degree in Information Technology, Database Management, Social Work or Social Administration, Development Studies, Knowledge Management and other related areas.

b.   Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in data entry and use of IMS and Case Management.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies 

• Accurate and speedy data entry and strong computer literacy.
• Proficient English communication skills (Both Oral and Written)
• Able and willing to work in environment with limited access to basics.
• Advanced knowledge of data entry, Micro Soft i.e., MS Office,  MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and Internet.
• Ability to organize and manage data; and always adhering to confidentiality and respect for clients at all times is essential.
• Knowledge of and adherence to organizational Code of Conduct / Information Sharing Protocol
• Excellent analytical, documentation, problem solving, interpersonal skills
• Familiar with work related to Gender Based Violence.

Language Skills:

Good written and spoken English and Local Language.
