IRC has been working in Pakistan for approximately 40 years, managing and delivering large, complex programs to meet the needs in health, education, safeguarding, environmental health and livelihoods for displaced, poor and disaster affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and is currently working across the country. 

Job Overview/Summary:

The position will be responsible for providing support to individuals in urban areas in Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a particular focus on health-related issues. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating with concerned stakeholders to provide quality health services and ensure that the refugees have access to adequate healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with health service providers, hospitals, and clinics to ensure that the refugees have access to quality health services.
  • Assess health needs of refugees and develop health programs /activity plan accordingly.
  • Develop and implement health education programs for refugees, focusing on preventive measures and promotion of good health practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to refugees on accessing health services and facilities.
  • Conduct regular field visits and monitor health activities /programs to ensure their effectiveness and impact.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of health-related activities and services provided.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to advocate for the health needs of refugees and improve access to health services.
  • prepare monthly report and submit it to CAR KP via the district administrators' office and IRC team in the district.

Qualification:

The applicant should hold a minimum of a university degree, preferably MBBS, Public Health, Social Work, and Social Sciences.

Experience:

Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience in health-related projects, referral services and with referral networks (Previous working experience of International I/NGO / similar set up is preferred). Higher degree can be in lieu or experience and vice versa.  

Skills:

  • Strong computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to work discretely and professionally with sensitive and confidential information.

Language Skills:

  • Must be fluent in Urdu & English languages.
  • Pashto language will be preferred.

Working Environment:  Works well in coordination and facilitates teamwork, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
