IRC has been working in Pakistan for approximately 40 years, leading and delivering large, sophisticated programs to meet the needs in health, education, safeguarding, environmental health, and livelihoods for displaced, poor, and disaster-affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and is currently working across the country.

Job Overview/Summary:

The Integrated Services for Communities in Pakistan project aims to enhance the safety, dignity, and well-being of Afghan refugees and host communities in the intervention areas of the IRC Protection program across Pakistan. It focuses on multi-sectoral integrated program delivery, providing quality protection, GBV, SRH, and MHPSS services alongside climate-resilient, livelihoods, youth engagement, and social cohesion initiatives. The project adopts a participatory, inclusive approach to address vulnerabilities and promote sustainable development. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Training Manager ensures all Protection CP and GBV-related actions, particularly around the training, are implemented within the agreed timelines. The Training Manager will be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive training programs that align with the objectives of our projects. This role involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including CAAR, SWD, relevant government departments, UN and CSOs

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Training Manager shall be responsible for
  • Conduct field visits to observe training sessions. Facilitating and monitoring training programs.
  • Support the project manager in compiling monthly, quarterly & annual reports.
  • Participating in progress review meetings and workshops.
  • Develop and maintain proactive, positive, and professional relationships with internal programs, departments, external partner organizations, other stakeholders, etc
  • Oversee logistic arrangements related to training activities.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs and curricula for child protection (CP) and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response in alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and gap analyses to identify the specific training requirements of various stakeholders, including government departments, civil society organizations (CSOs), and UN implementing partners.
  • Design a training strategy and plan that outlines the training approach, methods, and timeline for delivering the training programs.
  • Develop and refine training materials, including manuals, presentations, case studies, and reference materials, ensuring they are up-to-date, practical, and relevant to the target audience.
  • The Training Manager will support the overall IRC Protection program team and partners by delivering standardized, enhanced training, ensuring capacity building, and aligning with global protection principles and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and evaluation results. Generate regular reports on the progress and outcomes of training initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit training reports, including progress, challenges, and outcomes of the training activities.

Key Working Relationships:

  • Represents IRC Pakistan among Partners, Government bodies/departments, INGO, NGOs, networks, consultative sessions, or conferences.
  • Position Reports to: Directly Reporting to the Project Coordinator and Technically to Protection Coordinator.
  • Position directly supervises: None

Job Requirements:

A.

Education: The applicant should hold a minimum Master’s degree, preferably in psychology, anthropology, development studies, or social sciences.

B.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience managing or implementing gender and child protection training-related projects.
  • Experience directly working with partners and establishing a self-growth manual in light of integrated protection interventions.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating CP and GBV programs is highly desired.
  • Excellent knowledge of adult teaching and learning strategies and techniques.

Good report writing skills.

  • Strong ability to work independently, coordinate, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work with minimum supervision, coordinate multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the software (Microsoft Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)

Language Skills:

Proficient in English, Urdu, and local languages
