KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identification of new projects & support in proposals development to diversify the livelihood options by introducing innovative activities.
  • Effective coordination and planning of livelihoods activities.
  • Proper planning and execution of livelihoods activities while consulting all concern.
  • Ensure timely completion of all activities while adhering quality aspects.
  • Progress sharing with line management on a regular basis as per practice that is monthly, interim and end-term reports.
  • Developing context-specific criteria and assessment tools in consultation with the relevant line management.
  • Ongoing monitoring of all interventions & sharing timely feedback with line management.
  • Gauge impacts of all interventions & share report with all concerned.
  • Identify resource persons for capacity building components under livelihoods.
  • Identify gaps, avoid overlaps and duplication of grants/project activities.
  • Advise the field teams on best practices and approaches on sustainable livelihoods and ensure effective implementation.
  • Remain good team player & foster team building.
  • Effective skills of resolving problems, especially in the field.

  • Create and maintain good relationships with local communities, line agencies, NGOs/INGOs and UN agencies
  • Strategic oversight of planning, budgeting, re-designing,  implementation and monitoring of the program/projects
  • Preparation of weekly / monthly work plans against PMT (performance measured time frame) by ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks in stipulated time period.
  • Maintenance of hard record that includes field visits reports, CO meeting minutes, beneficiary data, assessment record, distribution record & other documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate beneficiary’s data collection & screening prior to making any transaction
  • Ensure proper filling of forms & formats as per desired standard
  • Extend support to MEAL / MIS / Communications staff for gathering desired information.
  • Ensure availability of up to date info in MIS on regular basis with consultation of MIS / M&E.
  • Close coordination with line manager for effective implantation of project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
  • In depth understanding of IR values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
  • Abide by the IR zero tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization / empowerment of communities on coping mechanism so that they can raise voice as & when feel inappropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
  • Assist in identification & documentation of organizational successes for show casing IR work
  • Facilitate communities in adaptation of environment friendly & cost effective approaches to meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change.
  • Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & children etc in consultation & implementation of project activities at ground.
  • Strengthen mechanism to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention towards DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, highlighting the protection needs of people.
  • Participation and facilitation in implementation of IR seasonal programmes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its PSEAH (preventing sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. IR has a zero-tolerance policy towards PSEAH and don’t support any action that promotes or encourages PSEAH.

Qualification & Experience:

Master / Bachelor degree in Agriculture, livestock or related field

3 Years’ experience with Master &/or 6 years with Bachelor degree

Language:

Urdu, English and local languages

  • Strong emotional intelligence and resilience, and able to maintain self-control in difficult situations.
  • Able to work under extreme conditions in field areas.
  • Good communication skills in local as well as English / Urdu language which delivers information with clarity in a wide range of situations.
  • Has a positive nature and able to overcome issues that create hindrance in the achievement of entrusted goals / objectives.
  • Has a learning attitude and a continuous improvement philosophy.
