- Develop programmes and projects based on the Country Strategic Plan and area needs
- Designing and preparing concept notes/proposals for programme interventions and seeking and/or identifying sources of funding for new/existing programmes.
- Coordinating all aspects of the programme, including technical support and supervision and the development of effective operational, monitoring, evaluation and reporting plans.
- Ensuring that the programme is implemented in a consultative, participative and gender sensitive manner.
- Ensure the programme meets Islamic Relief Worldwide Quality Standards and international Codes of Conduct.
- Produce high quality reports to submit to MEAL and country office, according to the agreed deadline.
- Provide support and guidance to programme team in areas of planning, design and implementation by ensuring that technical support is sensitive to socio-cultural background of targeted communities and institutions.
- Ensure that programmes are implemented, reviewed and evaluated in a consultative and participative manner through regular field visits.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes under implementation in Field Offices.
- Support the field and country team to ensure the effectiveness, impact and direction of the programmes are appropriately implemented, monitored, reviewed and evaluated on a continuous basis using the quality guidance of the IRW Policy and Procedures Manual and other international standards.
- Support and lead programme team in the development of annual and other regular reviews; annual and business plans.
- Representing and liaising with key stakeholders including community leaders, local authorities, government, UN agencies, donors and representatives of international and national NGOs.
- Work closely with the Area Program Manager to diversify the funding sources through developing existing or new relationships with local donors.
- Build and strengthen significant relationships between IR partners, INGOs, UN, institutional donors and relevant government departments.
- Build working relationships with donors and other INGOs in the country.
- Ensure regular and effective communications are maintained within the Area, Field and with the office.
- Participate in the determination of organization policies regarding such issues such as participant eligibility, program requirements, and project benefits.
- Provide facilitation in case of seminars, conferences and interviews for IR promotion purposes
- Speak to community groups to explain and interpret agency purposes, programs, and policies.
- Highlight the impact reports in case studies
- Perform any other official assignment given by supervisor.
Person Specification:
It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols, diversity & inclusion.
Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from any HEC recognized University (Social/Development Sciences would be given preference)
- 7 years of experience with Master’s degree or 9 years of experience with bachelors’ degree
- Experience of developing new projects, writing proposals and responding to donor
- requirements
- Working experience and knowledge of Integrated programme (WASH, DRR, Livelihood, Social Mobilization) would be value added
Computer Skills:
- Computing Skills MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Web based email.
Language:
· Working knowledge in spoken and written English, Fluent in local languages.

1) Knowledge of project planning, monitoring and execution
2) Ability to meet deadlines.
3) Time management skills.
4) Willingness to travel to underdeveloped/volatile areas of project areas
