The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to the project team in the implementation of the project. The project will focus on Livelihoods and water management, providing livelihood opportunities to poor families living in rural and urban peripheries.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Technical Level

  • Assuring implementation of project activities to achieve project results.
  • Monitoring project performance to meet project aims.
  • Building partnerships to support successful execution of the project.
  • Facilitating the process of selecting and prioritizing enhancement projects for development to the delivery stage.
  • Leading the preparation of various project management tools: Annual Work Plans (AWPs), Requests for Proposals, TORs, Critical Paths, due diligence, agreements.
  • Supporting line supervisor/APM in planning, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
  • Keeping track of the project’s financial and operational performance and ensuring project activities are within assigned budgets, identifying problems, and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with other staff in the design of monitoring programs to evidence project outcomes.
  • Implementing project activities as per business process and project document.
  • Discharging administrative and other responsibilities related to the function.
  • Developing technical documents for KAP, market assessment surveys, community forums capacity building.
  • Developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with partners and stakeholders, working with them to develop project activities.
  • Monitoring the financial performance of project activities, preparing budgets, monitoring spending, and executing activities.
  • Suggesting capacity-building activities for all staff to ensure continuous staff development.
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

  • Coordinating (internal & external stakeholders) related to the project.
  • Managing records – assessments, databases, project activity reports, daily field visit reports, project documents, financial reports, etc.
  • Possessing a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ERP systems.
  • Contributing to the finalization and approval of donor and other project reports.
  • Demonstrating skills in communication, planning & scheduling, time management, stress & conflict management, situation handling, leadership, workload & team management.

Technical

  • Implementing project activities as per business process and project document.
  • Developing technical documents and tools for capacity building of community-based groups as per project design.
  • Supporting the project team in the development of tools for different surveys like KAP, KISOKs, etc.
  • Establishing strong collaborations with relevant Government Departments for smooth program implementation.
  • Developing resource materials for events & sessions.
  • Developing IEC materials for project activities.
  • Organizing events in collaboration with Government departments.
  • Ensuring sustainability through effective linkages with free psychosocial service providers.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.

Operational

  • Designing integrated work plans in collaboration with teams from other departments/thematic areas.
  • Coordinating with internal (APM, livelihood specialist, other sector leads at CO & area level) & external (Clusters, contractors, public health department, other organizations' representatives working in project areas, community activists, Dignity Groups, and beneficiary households) stakeholders related to the project and other matters of mutual interest.
  • Preparing contingency plans to address external factors that may affect field activities.
  • Ensuring the preparation & record management of project activities.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and other progress reports for management’s information.
  • Preparing financial and narrative reports for project donors.
  • Ensuring proper filling of forms & formats as per the desired standard.
  • Supporting MEAL/MIS/Communications staff in gathering desired information.
  • Coordinating closely with the line manager for effective implementation of project activities.

Organizational

  • Ensuring compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in the true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of IR values and applying them in the field while working with communities.
  • Abiding by IR's zero-tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption by sensitizing/empowering communities with coping mechanisms to raise their voices when they feel something is inappropriate.
  • Thoroughly understanding IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
  • Assisting in identifying and documenting organizational successes for showcasing IR work.
  • Facilitating communities in adopting environment-friendly & cost-effective approaches to meet their current and future needs, with specific attention to climate change.
  • Making focused efforts to mainstream marginalized groups i.e. persons with disabilities, the elderly, minorities, women & children, etc., during the consultation & implementation of project activities on the ground.
  • Strengthening mechanisms to influence decision-makers through communities to pay attention to their core issues, give voice to the suffering and the excluded, and highlight the protection needs of people.
  • Participating in and facilitating the implementation of IR seasonal programs.
