Technical Role:

  • Video Production: Lead the end-to-end video production process, from concept development to shooting, editing, and final delivery, ensuring high-quality and impactful video content.
  • Creative Direction: Develop and execute creative concepts, storyboards, shot lists, and scripts for video projects, aligning with the organization's objectives and target audience.
  • Camera Operation: Utilize advanced camera equipment and techniques to capture stunning visuals, including interviews, events, field activities, and other relevant content.
  • Lighting and Sound: Expertly set up lighting equipment and audio recording devices to achieve optimal visual and audio quality in different shooting environments.
  • Editing and Post-Production: Edit raw footage, applying creative editing techniques, color grading, sound mixing, and adding visual effects to produce polished, engaging videos.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of videographers, ensuring their professional growth, and coordinating their activities for efficient project execution.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including communication, marketing, and program departments, to understand their video needs and develop strategies for content delivery.
  • Equipment and Asset Management: Maintain and update video equipment inventory, ensuring proper functioning and organization of cameras, lenses, lighting gear, and software tools.
  • Storytelling and Scriptwriting: Craft compelling narratives and scripts that effectively convey the mission, impact, and human stories associated with our organization's initiatives. capture impactful footage and document field activities.

Operational Role.

  • Coordinate with internal (Media and Communications department) & external (vendors) for matters related to photo/video development.
  • Put in place a contingency plan/succession plan to deal with human factors affecting or may affect the organizational activities in your absence.
  • Close coordination with line manager for effective implementation of policies/guidelines.
