General Position Summary:

The Community Mobilizer – Livelihood will assist the Sr. Project Officer - Livelihood for day-to-day implementation of project community mobilization activities using Girl Roster tools for selection of trainees in vocational training institutes and for the selection of recipients of cash grants at project locations. The community Mobilizer reports to Project Officer – Sr. Project Officer - Livelihood.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist Project Officer - Livelihood for preparing the annual community mobilization plan for Catchment areas, keeping in view the needs of the community and by means acceptable to the community required for identification and selection of beneficiaries both for formal and non-formal education programs.
  • Assist Project Officers for planning and implementing community-based activities of education and protection components.
  • Arrange monthly Community Awareness sessions in female communities.
  • Responsible to coordinate and develop partnerships with local CBOs and NGOs to improve community mobilization
  • Assist Project Officer in organizing the activities of World Refugee Day and 16 days activism activities both at school and community level
  • Support the Project Officers Training and Grants in the identification of the program participants for the vocational training program in WTTC Quetta
  • Support the Project Officer's Training and Grants in identifying the market to place the graduates after the completion of the training program
  • Follow all SOPs on Safety and Security while conducting the activities in the assigned areas of catchment of Population Schools, mosques / community/ office)
  • Attend all refresher training sessions and meetings with other members of the project as required.
  • Conduct him/herself professionally and personally in such a manner so as to bring credit to the organization and in no way jeopardize its humanitarian efforts
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Reports Directly To: Sr. Project Officer - Livelihood

Works Directly With: Project Officers Training and Grants, Project Team and MEL Unit

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA with social sciences.
  • Excellent communication and convincing power and a good listener.
  • At least two years relevant data entry experience preferably in NGO sector.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS office.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Urdu, and local languages.
  • Track record of maintaining liaison with governmental and non-governmental partners.
