Job Purpose: 

The primary responsibility of the candidate is to help the culinary crew with different preparation, cooking, and serving chores. The person has to help to make sure that the Office operations operate smoothly and effectively while working under the direction of Assistant SC&S Officer.

Technical:

Cleaning and organizing:

  • Performing routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and washing floors, windows, walls, and furniture. Organizing and arranging items to ensure a neat and tidy appearance.

Room preparation:

  • Preparing rooms for guests or residents by making beds, changing linens, and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.

Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens:

  • Ensuring that bathrooms and kitchens are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, including scrubbing toilets, sinks, showers, and kitchen appliances.

Trash disposal:

  • Collecting and disposing of trash and recycling materials properly.

Inventory management:

  • Keeping track of cleaning supplies and household items, and informing the employer or supervisor when restocking is needed.

Reporting maintenance issues:

  • Identifying and reporting any maintenance or repair issues within the property to ensure they are addressed promptly.

Specialized cleaning:

  • Performing occasional deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, and window washing.

Security and privacy:

  • Ensuring the security and privacy of the property and its occupants by following established protocols.

Guest services (in some cases):

  • Assisting guests with their needs, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and addressing any concerns they may have during their stay.

Time management:

  • Efficiently managing time to complete all cleaning tasks within a specified timeframe.

Compliance with health and safety standards:

  • Adhering to proper cleaning procedures and using appropriate cleaning agents to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Organizational:  

  • Maintaining order, sanitization, and cleanliness in the office especially in the kitchen.
  • Helping with inventory management, food storage, and supply stocking
  • Observing the rules and procedures for food safety and cleanliness
  • Helping as necessary with the ordering and receipt of food and supplies
  • Assisting with recipe creation and menu planning.
