Applicaton Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Application Engineer to join our AMI department. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of various applications used in AMI systems and related devices. You will also provide essential support for troubleshooting, customer service, and training, ensuring the functionality and performance of our solutions in the field. Working closely with internal teams and customers, you will ensure smooth deployment, resolve technical issues, and provide best-in-class after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and install application software on the client side and ensure its functionality before handing over to the end user.
Monitor and manage AMI meters and related devices, both in-house and in the field, including installation, commissioning, and debugging, while arranging server-side reports.
Test applications designed for different AMI and related products, identifying bugs, and working with the development team to ensure bug rectification.
Provide technical support to customers by troubleshooting issues faced with running applications, ensuring high-quality after-sales services.
Collaborate closely with project execution teams involved in AMI and other related projects to assist with application services.
Manage applications for AMI and related projects, ensuring everything is in place before handing over to the end user.
Conduct training sessions for end users, educating them on software applications, as well as AMR/AMI meters and other related devices.

Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of software testing processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with the development team.

Critical Skills:

Understanding of energy meters and smart metering systems.
Familiarity with software testing tools and methodologies.
Basic knowledge of programming and debugging.
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
