A Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the inbound and outbound logistics and shipping department in a warehouse setting.
Their job duties include:
- Planning and coordinating the dispatch of goods and deliveries.
- Maintaining high standards of packing.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of shipments.
- Maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Supervising a team of workers and ensuring their tasks are completed efficiently.
- Implementing and maintaining processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinating with suppliers, customers, and other departments to resolve any issues that arise.
- Managing budgets and resources to meet operational and financial goals.
- Keeping records of shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, and other related documents.
- Continuously reviewing and improving the warehouse's shipping processes and procedures.
- The Warehouse Manager should have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as experience in warehouse operations and management.
- They should also have a good understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management, and be familiar with industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Collaboration with other departments, such as category and customer service, to ensure a smooth system.
Requirements and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
- Expertise in inventory management.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Team player
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
